Sound waves that turn into light forms, pixels that turn into electronic sequences to break down the boundaries between sound and vision.
From October 17th to 19th, the Nuovo Cinema Aquila in Rome hosts the first edition of the Visual Sound Festival, an event dedicated to contemporary audiovisual art that explores the expression of artists under 35, presenting spectacular performances of experimental video and electronic music.
A workshop for experimentation and a meeting point for emerging artists, Visual Sound is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the future of audiovisual artistic production and discover the most original names in the Lazio scene, proposed by Fotonica, the event festival that, for eight years, has explored the intersection between images and sounds in digital art in Rome.
Every evening, two Audio-Visual Live performances push the boundaries of digital art, featuring artists from the Lazio region who, with their futuristic projects, explore all the possibilities of expression related to sound and image, bringing to life exclusively live, hybrid, and interdisciplinary performances that use various techniques and tools, from microphones to microscopes to computers. These performances offer the audience a chance to experience firsthand the continuous transformation of digital languages.
The project is a production realized as part of the LAZIOSound project, funded by the Youth Policies of the Lazio Region and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
